Slav Bot Add to Discord

The small print

Privacy policy

What Slav Bot keeps about you, who else gets it, how long it stays and how to have it deleted. Plain words.

Last updated October 29, 2026

The short version

Nine things worth knowing, in plain words. Each one links to the part that has the detail.

  • What she keeps. Your Discord ID, the game data your play creates (like tokens, cards and countries) and your settings. Most of it stays until we delete it by hand. A few things expire on their own. More: What she keeps How long we keep things
  • Messages. She reads messages so commands, automod and replies can work, but she does not keep a log of them. Recent ones sit in memory for up to about 40 minutes, then go. A server's own log channel, if its admins set one, belongs to that server. More: Message content
  • Slav Chat. Your question goes to an outside AI service, OpenRouter, so it can write the answer. We keep a usage record, never the full question or answer. More: Slav Chat
  • Outside services. A few outside services get a little data when you use a feature that needs them, like top.gg, to check whether you voted. We do not sell your data, and this website runs no ads, analytics or trackers. More: Who else gets data This website
  • Logging in. The everyday login asks Discord only who you are. Server admins have a separate login, Servers you manage, that also reads the list of servers they are in. Slav keeps the ones they manage in memory only, and stops using them after 10 minutes. More: Logging in
  • Who can see it. Your balance, profile and rankings are public to everyone, and there is no way to hide them. Server admins and moderators see the moderation records of their own server. The bot's owners can look up a player's balance, history and settings. More: Who can see it Who else gets data
  • Your choices. In /settings you can switch off notification DMs and opt out of the games, auto-replies, the starboard and the newspaper. Slav Chat has its own opt-out. More: Your choices
  • Deleting your data. Run /settings, open Privacy, press Request, then confirm. A person handles it by hand, we cannot promise how long it takes, and a few records, like the token history, stay. More: Deleting your data
  • Age. You must be at least 13 to use the bot. More: Children

Who this covers

Slav Bot is a Discord bot run by its owners. "We" means them. This policy covers the bot, this website and the pages where you log in with Discord. Discord's own privacy policy covers everything you do on Discord itself.

What she keeps

These are the main things the bot keeps about people.

DetailsThe full list: what is kept, what each part holds and how long it stays
WhatDetailsHow long
Your Discord IDThe number Discord gives your account. Everything below hangs off it. Servers, channels and messages have IDs too, kept where a feature needs one (a log channel, a starboard post). As long as the rows it belongs to.
Game dataTokens, cards, countries, armies, loans, shop items, daily and vote streaks and cooldown times. For War Slave, who owns whom, and the brand text an owner wrote. Also your pack-opening history, a tax log that records your balance when you were taxed, giveaway entries and winners, and lottery claims.Until we delete it by hand. The World War battle log lasts 30 days. Newspaper puzzle results last 30 days.
Token and item historyOne row for every change to a balance or an item: how much, the balance after, a short reason, the server and the time. The database writes it by itself so the economy can be audited. No expiry. The bot does not erase it by itself.
Your settingsNotification switches, game opt-outs, your Slav Chat opt-out and other personal switches, and a history of who changed which setting and when.Until we delete it by hand.
VotesWhen you last voted on each site, and your vote streak.Until we delete it by hand.
News noticesThe "what happened while you were away" lines. They can name other players by display name.21 days for notices to you. Announcements to everyone, such as a war won, stay.
Server dataEach server's ID and prefix, the channels and roles chosen for features, switches, custom replies, welcome and leave text. It stays when the bot leaves a server.Until we delete it by hand.
Moderation recordsWarnings and moderator actions in a server: who, to whom, what, the reason (typed by the moderator, taken from their Slav request, or the new nickname when a nickname is changed through the bot), and when. This includes bans, kicks and timeouts done with Discord's own tools that the bot sees. Automod hits record the rule, not the message.Warnings stay until a moderator clears them. Actions have no expiry.
Slav Chat action logEach time anyone presses the confirm button under a Slav answer: who, where, the server's name, to whom, what changed and, for a timeout, warning, kick, ban or softban, a short reason, with display names.90 days.
Text you type on purposeFeedback and deletion requests (up to 1,000 characters), loan notes, giveaway prizes, and what admins set up: welcome text and custom replies.Until we delete it by hand.
Slav Chat usageYour ID, the server, the ID of your message, how you asked (mention, reply, DM or a command), how it was paid, which model answered, how many tokens it used, what it cost, and the time. Never the question or the answer. Also one row per player: your chat tokens, free answers left and when you last asked. No expiry.
Command statisticsWhich command was used, in which server, on which day, and how many times. No user ID. The owners use the counts to see which commands get used.No expiry.
StarboardThe starred message's ID, its author's ID, the channel and the star count. No message text.No expiry.
Display namesNot kept as a profile. A copy sits in news notices (above), in a Blackjack seat while you are at the table, in the Slav Chat action log, in the moderation record when a nickname is set through the bot, and in the console log for voters. As listed.
Owner lookupsWhen an owner looks up a player's private data on the owner pages of the web login, a row records who looked at whom, and when.No expiry. The database refuses to delete it.
Records the owners keep about a playerThe war-games ban list (who, why and who banned them), wallet freezes, Slav Chat blocks and unlimited-use flags, personal tax settings, and the time of your last game move.Until we delete it by hand.
Technical logsThe bot's console log records things such as voters' names and IDs and role changes. It sits in the server's memory-backed temporary storage, so a bot restart keeps it and a server reboot clears it, and a copy can be saved to disk. The error log is a file on disk. Error lines can contain user or server IDs and, if a command crashes, what you typed.Console log: until the server reboots. Error log: no expiry.
Login sessionsWhen you log in on the website: a row with a scrambled copy of your session token, your ID and some times. No IP address, no browser details, and not your Discord access token.30 days after last use, 90 days at most, 10 sessions per player.
Your list of serversOnly if you open Servers you manage on the dashboard: the servers you own or manage that Slav is also in, as a name, an icon and a server number. It lives in memory only and a bot restart drops it. It is never written to the database, a file or a log.Not used after 10 minutes.

The bot does not store your IP address, your email address, or your Discord access token.

Message content

Slav reads messages so commands, automod and replies can work. She does not keep a log of messages.

The scam picture check, the auto-replies, the swear jar and Slav Chat are on in every server unless an admin switches them off.

DetailsWhat she reads them for, and how long anything sits in memory

Message text is checked in memory. Pictures and videos you ask her to edit are held briefly in a temporary folder and in memory while she makes the result, and finished results such as profile cards and some picture videos can stay in memory until newer ones push them out. If a command crashes, the error line can contain what you typed.

She reads them for:

  • commands, with the prefix or by mention
  • automod rules: invite links, spam, ALL-CAPS, mass mentions and the same message posted in many channels
  • the scam picture check
  • auto-replies, such as "no u"
  • the swear jar
  • Slav Chat
  • the starboard, which reposts a starred message in the server's own highlight channel

Image and video commands download avatars and attachments, and look through recent messages in the channel for a picture.

Discord's library keeps recent messages in memory for up to about 40 minutes and then discards them, and a restart clears it. In servers, for messages from the people the scam picture check would read (see the next paragraph), even where a server has switched that check off, the bot also keeps the full text of messages that contain a link, @everyone or @here, with the server, channel, message and user IDs, in memory, to spot the same message posted in many channels. An entry is not used after about 60 seconds, and it goes when a newer one replaces it or the bot restarts.

The scam picture check reads pictures on our own server. It skips moderators, except during a test of up to two hours that the people who run Slav can open in one server, and it skips other bots and webhooks unless a server's admins switch on "Also scan bots". The text it finds is held in memory and not used after about 90 seconds; it goes when newer pictures push it out or the bot restarts. It is never written to disk or sent anywhere.

The swear jar keeps one total per channel, the server ID and the time of the last count. No words and no user ID. In a DM with the bot, the channel is you.

The bot also receives join, leave, nickname, role and voice events. Anti-raid, the auto-role and the join and leave logs use them. Each time the bot joins a server, its owners get a message with the server's name, ID, size and owner. When it leaves, the message has the name, ID and size.

If a server sets a log channel, the bot posts there: edited and deleted messages (deleted pictures are re-uploaded), the text of a message automod acts on, and join, leave, nickname, role and voice events. Those posts live in Discord and belong to that server.

Slav Chat

When you talk to Slav, your question goes to OpenRouter, an outside service that passes it to an AI model provider, to write the reply.

You can opt out of Slav Chat yourself. Server admins can switch it off for a whole server or a single channel in /admin.

DetailsWhat goes out, what does not, and what we keep

What goes out:

  • your display name (cut to 32 characters) and your question (cut to 800)
  • the last few turns of that conversation in that channel: up to 6 questions and answers, kept in memory only, not used after 30 minutes of quiet, and dropped when the bot restarts
  • a fixed code made from your Discord ID with a standard hash. It is the same every time, so a provider can link your questions together
  • the names of people you @mention, and whether you are one of the bot's owners or friends, or a moderator and what you may do
  • when the question needs it, your own game data: balance, streak, countries, army, citizens, food and garrisons, spy reports, battles, card count and power, Warfare level and War Slave count. For World War and War Slave questions that includes other players' names, countries, battles and who owns whom
  • if a moderator asks Slav about someone, or to act on someone: that person's display name and a short note such as "sent a link 2 minutes ago", never what they wrote

If someone else asks Slav about World War or War Slave, your display name, countries and battles with them can be sent too, and for War Slave who owns you, what you are worth, your collar and how many slaves you own. Your Slav Chat opt-out does not stop that.

Not sent: server IDs, channel IDs, message IDs, your Discord ID itself, avatars, or other people's messages.

We ask OpenRouter to use only providers that say they do not collect prompts or train on them. Providers may still keep a request for a short time, and we cannot see or control what each one does.

We keep a usage row (see the table above) and never the full question or answer. When someone confirms a timeout, warning, kick, ban or softban, a short reason from their request (up to 200 characters) is kept in the action log and in the server's moderation record.

Who else gets data

We do not sell your data. We run no ads and no third-party analytics. The owners count how often each command is used in each server, with no user ID.

Other people can see some of it. Your balance, profile and rankings are public to everyone, and there is no way to hide them. The World War map is shared by every server. The daily newspaper names players for big wins, losses and conquests in servers that turned it on, and it has its own opt-out. Moderators in a server see that server's moderation records.

WhoWhat they getWhen
OpenRouter and its model providersThe Slav Chat details above. When you talk to Slav.
top.ggYour Discord ID, when the bot checks whether you voted. The number of servers the bot is in. top.gg tells us your ID when you vote. When you collect, vote, or when the bot posts its server count.

DiscordThe bot asks Discord for display names, server details and, when the invite-block rule is on, whether a code in a message is an invite. When you use Servers you manage, it also asks Discord whether you can manage the server you open.As needed.
CloudflareThe pages where you log in may pass through Cloudflare, which sees technical request details such as your IP address and browser. When you log in.

Logging in

The bot has web pages where you log in with Discord. The everyday login asks Discord only for who you are: your ID, username, display name and avatar. It does not ask for your email, your servers or your messages. One other login asks for more, and it is described after this list.

  • We read that when you log in. Your name and avatar then stay in memory for up to 6 hours. We store only the session row in the table above.
  • Your Discord access token is thrown away right after: we tell Discord to revoke it.
  • Two cookies are used. One keeps you logged in (it is marked HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Lax, and lasts up to 30 days after you last used it). The other lasts 10 minutes, while you log in.
  • Your browser also keeps a small note of which news you have already seen.
  • Your IP address is used only in memory, to slow down abuse, and is not stored. It can sit in memory until newer addresses push it out.
  • Other logged-in players can see the public parts of your game profile: your display name, avatar, countries, wins and rank, your betrayal count and Oathbreaker mark, and your title and badge.

Servers you manage. Server admins can change Slav's settings for a server from the dashboard. That is a separate login, with its own Discord consent screen, and the only place that asks for the list of servers you are in.

  • Discord asks you to share who you are and the list of servers you are in, with what you can do in each. Slav reads that once and keeps only the servers you own or manage that Slav is also in (their name, icon and server number) in memory, and does not use that list after 10 minutes. Once it has run out, it is cleared when anyone next finishes the Servers you manage login, when you next open your list, or when the bot restarts. It is never written to a database, a file or a log. Signing out, signing out everywhere or pressing Forget this list ends it sooner.
  • Slav uses that access for three requests only (the login, who you are and your servers), then asks Discord to cancel it as soon as they are done. It never stores it. If Discord does not answer that request, the access lapses on Discord's own schedule.
  • Before Slav shows or changes a server's settings, it checks with Discord that you can manage that server right now. A view may reuse that answer for 30 seconds, a change never does. The list of servers is only what the page offers, never what decides what you may change.
  • Except for the swear counter and custom responses, a change you make on the dashboard is recorded in the server's settings history with the setting, what it was, what it is now and your Discord user ID. A custom response keeps the user ID of whoever added it, with its text, until it is removed. If the server has a log channel with Server changes logging on, and Slav can post there, a "Setting changed" entry naming you and marked "(on the web)" is posted there too.

This website

This website runs no analytics, ads or trackers, and it does not keep a visitor log. Nothing on it loads from another site. It sets no cookies. If you pick a light or dark theme, your browser remembers the choice on your device and does not send it to us. Our web server software may record technical errors, which can include an IP address. The dashboard is separate: it lives at dashboard.slavbot.com, the bot runs it, and the cookies and the browser note described under Logging in are set by the bot's own pages, never by this website.

Who can see it

  • The bot's owners can look up a player's ID, balance, history, settings and number of warnings, read feedback and deletion requests, and get alerts about unusual balance changes.
  • Server admins and moderators see the moderation records of their own server.
  • Other players see what is public: balance, profile, rankings, leaderboards, the World War map, the daily newspaper and who owns whom in War Slave.
  • Whoever administers our server can reach the files on it, and so can the company that hosts it.

Keeping it safe

  • The database can only be reached from our own server, not from the internet.
  • Session tokens are stored only as a scrambled copy, and your Discord access token is never kept.
  • A nightly copy of the database is kept for about 15 days, in a folder that only our server account can read.
  • The database and its backups are not encrypted on disk.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise this one will never be breached.

How long we keep things

These expire by themselves:

  • 21 days: news notices to you
  • 30 days: the World War battle log
  • 30 days: newspaper puzzle results
  • 90 days: the Slav Chat action log
  • 30 days after last use, 90 at most: login sessions
  • about 15 days: database backups

Everything else in the table, except what lives in memory only (below), stays until we delete it by hand. It has no automatic expiry. Deleted data can stay in a backup for about 15 days.

DetailsWhat lives in memory only, and is lost when the bot restarts

These live in memory only and are lost when the bot restarts: the recent message cache (up to about 40 minutes), your Slav Chat conversation (not used after 30 minutes of quiet), the text of messages with a link (not used after about 60 seconds), the picture text (not used after about 90 seconds) and finished renders. Your list of servers from Servers you manage lives in memory only too (not used after 10 minutes). The console log is cleared when the server reboots.

Your choices

In /settings you can switch off notification DMs, opt out of the games, and opt out of auto-replies, the starboard and the newspaper. Slav Chat has its own opt-out. The Privacy page in the bot shows what other people can do with your name.

Server admins can switch features off for their server in /admin: games, auto-replies, the swear jar, scam picture checks, logging and Slav Chat.

There is no switch that hides your balance, profile or rankings.

You can ask us what we hold about you. There is no export button, so we answer by hand.

Deleting your data

Run /settings, open Privacy, press Request, then confirm. That files a deletion request and sends the bot's owners a message with your Discord name and server name. A person reads it and handles it by hand. Nothing is deleted automatically, and we cannot promise how long it takes.

When we handle it, we remove your game data: tokens, cards, countries, armies, loans, settings, votes and notices. There is no undo. We keep the token and item history, which is an audit trail, and moderation records, which we keep for the server that made them. Some other records are not part of that and can stay: Slav Chat usage rows, starboard entries, the history of settings changes, pack-opening and tax logs, giveaway and lottery entries, and the deletion request itself.

Some things are out of our reach or stay for a while:

  • messages the bot already posted in Discord, including log channel entries and starboard reposts
  • copies at the services listed above
  • backups, for about 15 days

Removing the bot from a server, or leaving a server, deletes nothing by itself. To have a server's data removed, ask in the support server.

Children

You must be at least 13 to use the bot, which is Discord's own minimum age. The bot cannot check ages. If you know a child under 13 is using it, tell us and we will remove their data by hand.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. Using the bot after a change means you accept it.
